Grants for Driving Lessons

The Family Fund is a registered charity funded by the governments of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It helps severely disabled children from low-income families, providing them with many grants, including those for driving lessons.

Driving Lessons Package

The Family Fund driving lessons award package includes 45 driving lessons, the cost of the theory and applications testing, as well as the fee for the new driver's training manual. Grant recipients must take and pass the theory test within the first 14 hours of driving instruction.

Eligibility

First-time applicants for a Family Fund driving lessons grant must download an application pack and fill out information for each disabled child under their care. Returning applicants may be able to re-apply online using their Family Fund identification number.

Time Frame

Grant recipients must begin driving lessons within three months of the grant award date. Participants must pass the theory test within six months of the award date to keep the grant active.
