What Is SRX Technology?

SRX technology stands for "Speed and Range Expansion." The primary function of SRX technology is to increase computer router range up to double the distance and six times the speed of the standard 802.11g networks.

  1. SRX and MIMO Technology

    • Linksys combined its Wireless-G routers with SRX technology and released the revolutionary router to the consumer market in 2005. SRX technology uses the signals of two antennas coined "Multiple-In, Multiple Out" or MIMO, to increase date rate, speed and communication distance of the router.

    Signal Reflections

    • Standard wireless networking devices are confused by signal reflections. MIMO technology utilizes these reflections to increase router signal rage and data speed rate.

    Reliability

    • SRX technology makes even your standard computer-networking equipment more reliable when communicating with SRX-enabled devices.
