Computer repair problems are all the troubles associated with a system's hardware and software. A computer repair problem may be a general issue that involves replacing a broken or defective piece of hardware or it may involve dealing with damaged system software.

This can involve testing the power supply to determine if it is working adequately and testing each piece of hardware to detect if power is reaching it and if not why not.

Monitor or video display difficulties may result from any number of problems. Detecting problems with a computer's video output involves checking to see if the AGP or video add-on adapter is working correctly or if there is damage to the LCD or CRT monitor.

The most common form of computer repair problem involves hard disk drives and hard disk drive failures. Issues associated with this type of repair problem usually involve troubleshooting a system's boot sequence or the BIOS, or determining whether the physical hard disk is defective or damaged.
