CRC is short for Continental U.S. Army's Replacement Center

CRC stands for Continental U.S Army's Replacement Center. The CRC was previously situated at Fort Bliss. It is now located at Fort Benning, Georgia. CRC training is specifically for Army personnel who have returned from army theater or for those who will soon be deployed, CRC training certifies soldier readiness.

  1. The CRC

    • The CRC was introduced to ensure troops are prepared for army duty in a foreign country. CRC training is specifically designed to train individual army personnel. These individuals are classed as Non Unit Related Personnel.

    Process

    • CRC training typically takes place for a duration of seven days. It usually begins on a Saturday and finishes on a Friday. Each trainee has to undergo a physical examination, this consists of a medical and dental health check. The trainee is also required to undertake Theater Specific Individual Requirement Training, relating to the theater they will be sent to.

    Considerations

    • CRC training usually takes place when individual army personnel are appointed to a specific task. The appointment is normally made by the trainee's unit. Army health care providers are usually priority when it comes to undertaking training, they can normally turn up for training without an appointment.
