Rose Bush Sizes

Factors

The height of a rosebush may depend somewhat on the care it receives. Consistent moisture is mandatory to rose growth. Most varieties require at least an inch of water a week during growing seasons. Fertilize roses with rotted manure or an all-purpose commercial fertilizer with a 10-10-10 ratio.
Types
-
Hybrid tea roses range from 2 feet to 6 feet in height. Floribundas are compact rose bushes that only reach about 4 feet. Climbing roses, with proper support, may reach 20 feet tall.

Considerations
-
There are hundreds of rose types, each with their own qualities and drawbacks. Consider what you are looking for in a rose bush before planting one. When you have made your selection and you are ready to shop, make sure you choose a healthy bush. The University of Minnesota Extension recommends choosing a rose with at least three strong, healthy-looking canes.
