241 Remington Disassembly Instructions

The Remington model 241 rifle was introduced in 1935 as a larger version of the popular model 24 youth rifle. The rifle was chambered to fire .22 LR ammunition and was designed to be disassembled and reassembled at the touch of a button.

  1. Take Down Button

    • Press the button on the left side of the receiver where the receiver meets the wood on the forward stock.

    Rifle Disassembly

    • Twist the barrel counterclockwise the front of the weapon will detach from the rest of the rifle. This rifle was designed to separate into two major parts.

    Rifle Assembly

    • Place the barrel back into the receiver at a 90 degree angle. When the barrel is seated, twist the barrel into position. The take-down button will click when the weapon is back together.
