241 Remington Disassembly Instructions
The Remington model 241 rifle was introduced in 1935 as a larger version of the popular model 24 youth rifle. The rifle was chambered to fire .22 LR ammunition and was designed to be disassembled and reassembled at the touch of a button.

Take Down Button

Press the button on the left side of the receiver where the receiver meets the wood on the forward stock.
Rifle Disassembly

Twist the barrel counterclockwise the front of the weapon will detach from the rest of the rifle. This rifle was designed to separate into two major parts.

Rifle Assembly

Place the barrel back into the receiver at a 90 degree angle. When the barrel is seated, twist the barrel into position. The take-down button will click when the weapon is back together.
