How Do I Clear My Browser Memory Cache?

All web browsers save browsing data in their caches.

Every web browser stores some of the users' browsing data within a cache. To ensure that no sensitive information is kept and to reduce the amount of data stored on a computer, it is possible to clear the browser's cache.

Internet Explorer 7 and Above

Open Internet Explorer and click the "Tools" menu button (in IE 9, the "tools" menu is accessed through a wheel icon in the top right of the screen), then "Internet Options" and then "Delete." Select the "Delete" button next to "Temporary Internet files." If using version 8 or above, select the "Temporary Internet files" check box first.

Firefox 3.5 and Above

Open Mozilla Firefox and click the "Tools" menu button. Click "Advanced" and from the tabs below select "Network" and click "Clear Now" to clear the cache.

Safari 7 and Above

Open Safari and click the "Safari" menu button. Select "Empty Cache." If using Safari for Windows, click the "Edit" menu button and select "Empty Cache."
