Physical Description of Generic Phentermine

Phentermine hydrocloride is the generic name for an anorectic, or appetite suppressant, also sold as Fastin, Lonamin and Adipex and sometimes purposely misspelled as phentrimine, by sketchy online pseudo-pharmaceutical outlets. Phentermine hydrochloride also stimulates the nervous system and increases blood pressure, which may contribute to weight loss.

  1. Chemical Appearance

    • Phentermine hydrochloride is a white crystalline powder that has no odor. Phentermine hydroxide tablets usually contain 37.5 milligrams (mg) of the drug.

    Tablet Appearance

    • Phentermine hydrochloride tablets are white with small blue specks. The tablets are shaped like capsules and are bisected for easy cutting. "5030" is printed on one side of each tablet and "V" is printed on the other side.

    Packaging

    • Phentermine hydrochloride tablets come in bottles of 30, 100, 500, and 1000, according to Drugs.com. For best results, store phentermine hydrochloride tablets between 68 and 77 degrees.
