Monaco Lemon Law
Lemon laws are American state laws that provide a remedy for purchasers of cars in order to compensate for cars that repeatedly fail to meet standards of quality and performance. These vehicles are called lemons.

State and Federal Lemon Laws
-
The federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects citizens of all states, although state laws vary and may not necessarily cover used or leased cars. "Lemon law" is the common nickname for these laws, but each state has different names for the laws and acts. The rights afforded to consumers by lemon laws may exceed the warranties expressed in purchase contracts.
Lemon Law Rights
-
Lemon law rights are defined by state law as well as the written warranty that can be found inside each vehicle owner's manual. These rights are generally greater than what the manufacturer or dealer will admit to. For cars and trucks that qualify under a state's lemon law, the manufacturer must offer to replace or repurchase the offending "lemon" vehicle. The qualifications and restrictions regarding "replacement" vehicles will vary by state.

Monaco Lemon Law Claims
-
Monaco, like most auto manufacturers, has been the subject of various lawsuits concerning lemon law and recall issues. In one California case, the Superior Court jury rendered a verdict for the vehicle owners of their purchase price, interest on their loan and incidental damages totaling $312,444 in return for their motor home.
Please consult a lemon law attorney if you have a vehicle that you think may be subject to a lemon law.
