In China, pearls have long been recognized for their healing properties. The last empress of China, CiXi, was renowned for her flawless complexion, which she maintained with pearl cream. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Prevents Acne

    • Pearls contain conchiolin, a protein which cleans pores deep down and removes dead skin cells. Pearl cream is not only an effective exfoliant, but it also prevents acne.

    Diminishes Scars

    • Pearls also contain nacre, which brightens and lightens skin. This makes pearl cream a good remedy for diminishing sun spots, blemishes, and scars.

    Moisturizer

    • Most pearl creams contain beeswax, lanolin and mineral oil, while some of the pricier ones contain sheep placenta. All of these ingredients make pearl cream a great moisturizer.
