Sarongs are a colorful accessory.

Tying a sarong is not difficult, but it does require a bit of patience and experimentation to perfect the look.Sarongs are a popular bathing suit cover-up, as well as casual dress or skirt, and as versatile are the colors and prints they come in. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Tie-front

    • The easiest way to wear a sarong is to tie it in the front. Simply bring the sarong behind you and tie the ends under the chest or lower on the hips. You can move the ties to the side to let the knot rest on the side.

    Halter dress

    • To create a halter dress, wrap the sarong back to front. Then, take the two ends in front and cross them at the bust. Bring the ends behind the neck, and tie them.

    Miniskirt

    • A long sarong can also double as a miniskirt. First, fold the sarong in half. Then wrap the skirt front to back, and tie the ends together. If there is a lot of excess fabric, you can tuck it around the skirt to create the illusion of extra detailing.
