OxiClean: Stain Removal Facts

OxiClean is a line of detergent products manufactured by Church & Dwight Co., Inc. The primary purpose of OxiClean products is to remove stains from clothes, however it is also effective in cleaning items such as carpets and furniture.

How It Removes Stains

OxiClean's active ingredients are hydrogen peroxide and surfactants. When combined with warm or hot water it forms a color-safe bleaching agent that works with your laundry detergent to remove tough stains from clothes. The solution is working when you see bubbles forming on the fabric; that's when the stain is actually being lifted away.

Stain Control

OxiClean is designed to clean and remove a variety of stains. These include stains caused by grass, grease and oil, and perspiration. OxiClean is also meant to handle food stains such as barbecue sauce and ketchup, as well as stains caused from urine, blood and wine.

Usage

One scoop (per package instructions) of OxiClean should be combined with your favorite detergent for every load of clothing. For really tough stains try pre-soaking.
