USDA Community Facility Funding

This American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funding for Rural Libraries is a grant opportunity for libraries serving communities with fewer than 20,000 residents. The USDA's Community Facilities fund has $100 millon available for rural public libraries. Funds can be used for improving existing facilities, enhancing educational opportunities, and improving economic conditions.
The Libri Foundation

The Libri Foundation's Books for Children program donates new hardcover children's books to needy rural libraries. The Foundation works with the library's Friends of the Library or other local organizations to match donations on a 2-to-1 ratio. A library can receive up to $1,050 worth of new hardcover children's books through the program.
