The United Parcel Service (UPS) Store offers a variety of professional services including packing services. UPS's packing services includes professional experts who are experienced in packing all types of packages, and they also offer a variety of packing supplies and boxes for customers' needs.

  1. Packing Experts

    • All UPS workers that work in the various UPS franchise stores are certified packing experts. UPS packers specialize in packing fragile as well as high-value items, such as art pieces, antique pieces and at-times very small jewelry, all types of specialized electronic equipment, items made of crystal and porcelain as well as fine china.

    Packing Options

    • All UPS stores offer multiple packing options. Customers can utilize the store to simply ship their pre-packed packages, they can utilize the store to purchase packing supplies prior to shipping or they can utilize the store to purchase supplies as well as using the store's packing experts to pack and ship the package. All UPS stores are equipped with packing supplies including boxes and envelopes of various shapes and sizes, cushioning, packing peanuts, tape and other supplies.

    Packing Insurance

    • If an item packed and shipped by a UPS store worker is lost or damaged, the store will reimburse the customer for the item's value (with certain declared value restrictions) and for the value of all packing materials and services.

    Packing Hazardous Materials

    • UPS also imposes additional and more specific requirements for packing hazardous materials and making them safe for transport. UPS packs these packages according to the requirements of the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) as well the Department of Transportation (DOT).
