Communicating the Rules

It's always best to introduce rules in the beginning of the school year, and you can use a poster board to remind students about the rules throughout the year. Consistently reinforce the rules by praising students who follow them and correcting students who do not.

Preventing Infractions

Teachers should inform their third grade students of the repercussions of violating classroom rules and follow through on them. It's also wise to advise parents of the rules and have them sign a flier acknowledging them.
