What Is a Zip Genius File?
Zip Genius is a freeware archive manager that compresses and decompresses (zips and unzips) files so they can be sent and transported more easily. It was created in 1997 by the Italian company Winizio. A Zip Genius file is a file that has been zipped by that program or one of the program's files.

Free Download
-
Zip Genius is freeware, which means it is offered as a free download by the author company. Companies often distribute freeware and later offer premium upgrades for a price, but this is not the case with Zip Genius. The makers, Winizio, do, however, encourage PayPal donations, especially from larger companies that use their product.
Downloading and Installing
-
To download Zip Genius, visit the Zip Genius website (see Resources). You will be presented with the option of downloading a "Standard" or "Suite" version as well as a number of possible servers from which to download. The standard version will be suitable for most users, and it is best to choose the server closest to you to achieve fastest downloads. After Zip Genius has installed, you will see a number of Zip Genius program files on your system.
