Paramedical Aesthetician Career Cost

Paramedical aestheticians work primarily as trained skin care experts in medical facilities. Although some paramedical aestheticians are also RNs and some schools offer aesthetician diplomas, aesthetician positions require specialized training rather than a college degree. Total cost for such programs is a minimum of $3,500.

  1. Initial Licensing

    • Paramedical aestheticians must first possess cosmetology or aesthetician licensing. Costs and requirements differ by state, institution and specific program. A full cosmetology license will more likely cost an average of $6,000. A basic aesthetician license requires fewer training hours so may cost as little as $2,500.

    Paramedical Aesthetician Licensing

    • The paramedical aesthetician license requires about 20 additional training hours beyond the basic and clinical requirements, which costs approximately $900 on average.

    Continuing Costs

    • Some states require continuing education for licensed paramedical aestheticians, which costs from $35 to $75 yearly depending upon location. License renewal generally runs about $35.
