Joystick -to-mouse software expands the use of a game controller.

Though many models and variants of joysticks are available for computer users, not all computer games and applications support joystick and game pad controls. Using joystick-to-mouse software, users can control non-compatible games and other software using a gaming controller.

- Joystick-to-mouse software translates the movements of connected joysticks to mouse movements, and often translates joystick buttons to mouse clicks as well. This allows users to control a game or even a productivity application with an otherwise incompatible joystick.
Features
- As many game pads have multiple joysticks, joystick-to-mouse programs often allow users to customize the use of different joysticks for different uses. In addition to assigning mouse buttons to joystick buttons, they allow the assignment of specific keyboard keys and key combinations.

- Many joystick-to-mouse programs are available as free downloads online. These include the simply named Joystick 2 Mouse, JoyToKey and Easy JoyMouse.
