The wireless microphone has a built-in transmitter that carries the signal to the receiver without requiring the use of wires and power cables. A wireless microphone is powered by a small battery.

Effects

A wireless microphone allows the user to move freely without being attached to a cord. However, the user will need to make sure that the wireless microphone battery has a sufficient charge and won't deplete at an inconvenient time.

Considerations

Wireless microphones do tend to cost more than wired models. It is up to the user to determine if the convenience of a wireless microphone is worth the additional cost.
