Is There a Colorado Law That Prohibits Loaded Guns at Gunshows?
The State of Colorado will allow you in certain circumstances to carry a loaded gun. However, the laws are specific about who can carry and where.

Possession of a Firearm

You may not possess a firearm in Colorado if you have been convicted of a felony, misdemeanor domestic violence, or juvenile possession of a firearm; or if you are a minor, with some exceptions; or if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Carrying a Firearm

Carrying a legal firearm in plain view is permitted in Colorado, except in certain locations, such as federal buildings and schools. However, each city may enact its own laws regarding open carrying, and you should check with the local municipality
Carrying a concealed handgun is prohibited in Colorado unless you have a concealed weapons permit; unless the gun is in your vehicle while traveling to ensure your safety; or while it is in your own home, your place of business, or on property you own or control. A firearm other than a handgun must be unloaded while in a vehicle.

Bringing a Loaded Firearm to a Gun Show

You may bring a loaded handgun to a gun show in Colorado if you have a permit to carry a concealed weapon. You may bring any legal firearm if you carry it in plain view, unless the city has a local statute prohibiting open carry. You cannot bring a loaded firearm into a gun show if the city has posted a notice at the location of the gun show prohibiting loaded firearms.
