    Usage

    • Squalene is used as an ingredient in some facial moisturizers, as its lightweight formula is easily absorbed by the skin. The compound is also found in some vaccinations, such as the 2009 flu pandemic vaccine known as Pandemix.

    Benefits

    • The International Journal of Cancer conducted a study to test the antioxidant properties of squalene on mice. The results found that the compound protected the skin and reduced the risk of the mice developing cancerous tumors.
