Problems With Quicken 2003 on a Mac
You have a Mac and Quicken 2003 installed on it, but you have some issues with the software and cannot get your work done. What are some of the problems with Quicken 2003 on a Mac, and how can you fix them?
-
Unexpected Shutdown
-
Sometimes, Quicken 2003 will simply, randomly shut down with no advance warning. This issue often occurs when downloading several different types of investment transactions. However, downloading the Quick 2003 R4 update should fix this problem, as it includes a patch for this issue.
Font Issues
-
Sometimes the fonts in Quicken 2003 do not seem to display correctly on a Mac. To correct this, make sure your computer has the Chicago, Geneva and Monaco fonts installed, as these are the fonts Quicken uses.
-
Incorrect Prices/Shares
-
If the prices or the number of shares are incorrect when you take a look at your portfolio, it could be that they simply have not updated yet. To ensure everything is up-to-date, press Option-Command-U to update everything.
Compressed Files
-
Compressing files can certainly make them easier to store or send, but sometimes Quicken 2003 does not work well with them. Try to avoid compressing your Quicken data files.
