Water Globe Craft

Use glitter to add sparkle and interest to a water globe craft.

A water globe craft can be created using any glass container with a strong seal. You can also purchase water globe kits from a craft store. Part of the fun of making a water globe is deciding what scene to build and what type of glitter to use inside.

Scenes

Create seasonal landscapes, highlight favorite characters or use faux flowers to match your decor. Anything that will fit in the globe that is nonporous will work for your water globe craft. Items made of paper, fabric or food will not work for a water globe.

Floaters

Use glitter, faux snow or other tiny objects to float when your globe is inverted. Tiny glass delica beads come in a variety of colors and can be used as well, but delicas are more expensive than glitter or snow.

Warning

Make sure you can get a tight seal on the container you are using for your water globe. If the seal is not tight, it could leak. You can use a silicon sealant around the base of the globe if needed to prevent leaking.
