Water Conditions
-
Goldfish are tolerant of a wide variety of temperatures. Ideally, their pond hovers between 40 and 105 degrees Fahrenheit in temperature, and has a pH between 7 and 9, as they prefer their water more basic.
Food
-
A wide variety of pellets and food sticks can be used to feed goldfish living in a pond, while small goldfish may be offered fish flakes. Feed them several times a day and feed them only the amount of food that they can eat within five minutes. This prevents the goldfish from overeating.

Plants
-
Grow plants in your pond to provide the goldfish with more oxygen. Plants also add an attractive element to the pond and allow your goldfish to rest in a protected location where they are not visible to predators.
