My Thetford RV Toilet Leaks

Potential Causes
-
There are common reasons that cause a Thetford RV toilet to leak. The leak may originate from the supply line's connection to the water valve behind the toilet, the vacuum breaker or water module within the toilet, or the connection between the gasket and flange underneath the toilet.
Prevention/Solution
-
For water supply line leaks, tighten the supply line's connection to the water valve. If the leak persists after this connection is tightened, replace the supply line. Replace the gasket underneath the toilet for leaks around the toilet base. A leak from the vacuum breaker or water module will normally show itself with dampness behind the toilet, especially after the toilet is flushed. Replace the vacuum breaker or water module, depending on which one your toilet model has.

Considerations
-
If the RV toilet leaks, don't assume or hope it will correct itself. Repair it to prevent any water damage inside the RV.
