Age of Light Bulb

The older, traditional incandescent bulbs are not recyclable. It is recommended to throw incandescent bulbs away with your regular trash.

The compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) that manufacturers offer are better for a number of reasons, most importantly, the fact that they last longer, thus creating less waste.

Recycling CFLs

The CFLs are recyclable only if taken to the proper recycling center. They cannot be recycled with other glass products because they contain metal.
