Business Etiquette in WebQuest
Teaching students proper business etiquette remains a primary objective for writing and business teachers. WebQuest lessons offer avenues to explore these areas and strengthen skills and knowledge for students of all levels and age groups.
-
History
-
WebQuests are engaging lessons that allow students to perform searches online to answer open-ended questions, according to Illinois State University's College of Education. More than just scavenger hunts, business etiquette WebQuests require students to process, analyze and synthesize the information into deeper levels of understanding.
Objectives
-
Business etiquette WebQuests cover job searches, resume building and career decisions. Other WebQuests inquire about entrepreneurial considerations, international business practices and customs, as well as communications and negotiations in a global economy.
-
Creation
-
Business etiquette WebQuests are created from course objectives -- using appropriate tone, for example -- or existing lessons, such as successful job interviews. Educators can use templates online to design WebQuests for their particular grade levels and topics.
Evaluation
-
Grading rubrics may evaluate completion of individual steps, participation in discussions and collaboration in group projects or presentations.
