Arizona SR22 Laws

If your license to operate a motor vehicle has been suspended or revoked in Arizona, you may be required to file an SR-22 with the Motor Vehicle Division before you can get your driving privileges back.

When Is An SR-22 Needed?

If your driving privileges have been suspended or revoked for an alcohol- or drug-related conviction, an implied consent violation or for a mandatory insurance violation. then you will be required to provide an SR-22 to the Motor Vehicle Division before your license can be reinstated. Other requirements also may exist for reinstatement .

What Is An SR-22?

An SR-22 is a form that certifies that you will have the required financial responsibility for a predetermined amount of time. If you fail to maintain the required financial responsibility, then you risk losing your driving privileges again and/or the state can invalidate the registration to your vehicle.

How To Obtain An SR-22

Any licensed automobile insurance company in Arizona may provide you with an SR-22 certificate. You will need to pay for the required insurance coverage before the insurance company will complete the certification.
