The fourth chakra is believed to be emerald green in color.

According to ancient Indian beliefs, a chakra is an energy point located in both the physical and ethereal body. In Indian culture, it is believed that there are seven major energy points, known as the crown, brow, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and base chakras.

  1. The Fourth Chakra

    • The fourth chakra refers to the heart chakra, also known as anahata --- a Sankskrit term that translates to "unhurt" and "unbeaten." It is symbolized as a twelve-petal emerald green flower that surrounds the star of David, representing the presence of both female and male energy.

    Problems

    • The heart chakra represents emotions, compassion, love and general well-being. Inadequate or excessive energy flowing through this chakra is believed to cause problems, such as being over- or under-emotional, uncompassionate and unloving.

    Possible Solutions

    • Those who follow the chakra system believe that these problems can be treated by changing and balancing the energy that flows through the heart chakra. Yoga postures, meditation and affirmations are thought to help realign and heal the heart chakra back into its original healthy state.
