Will the Insecticide Suspend Kill Slugs?
Common garden slugs can be a major problem for your lawn and garden. Unfortunately, the insecticide Suspend will not kill off your slugs. You'll need a slug bait containing iron phosphate to safely kill off those pesky slugs. Does this Spark an idea?

Identification
-
The Suspend brand of insecticide is not manufactured to kill slugs; slugs are not attracted to this toxin. Some of the insects Suspend does kill include ants, fleas and millipedes. A dedicated molluscicide, or slug killer, is needed for the best results.
Iron Phosphate Slug Bait
-
Slug baits containing iron phosphate are the best to use on your yard and garden. Other slug and snail baits contain extremely toxic chemicals, while iron phosphate is naturally found in most soil compositions.
-
How Iron Phosphate Works
-
Slugs are attracted to the sweet taste and smell of the bait, and will ingest the iron phosphate. The chemical corrupts the slug's metabolism, and the animal refuses to eat. Any slug that eats the bait will die from starvation in less than one week.
