Apprenticeships last between two and four years, depending on the course and level of education. Wages typically double once certification has been achieved. Construction technology studies take approximately four years and mostly lead to employment within pipeline construction management. The U.S. median salary for a construction technology graduate is $53,400 (as of 2010).
