Colors
-
Zinnias are available in a wide range of colors including shades of white, red, green, orange and purple, although there are no zinnias in shades of blue. They can also be striped or spotted. A few varieties may also be bi-colored, with a different color at the end of the flower's petal.
Watering Tips
-
The best method for watering zinnias is by using a drip system directly on the soil. Overhead watering can not only damage the flower petals, but lead to the development of mildew. Daytime watering can help prevent mildew by giving the plant sufficient time to dry before being exposed to cooler evening temperatures.
