Hands-On Cardiac CT Training
Cardiac computed tomography, or cardiac CT, is a painless experiment in which a specialist uses an X-ray machine to take clear pictures of the heart. Hands-on training introduces participants to the tools that are necessary to scan patients' bloodstreams safely.

After completing a cardiac CT training seminar, attendees will perform hands-on computer interpretation of coronary computerized axial tomography and interpret coronary computerized axial tomography cases, according to the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC). Participants also experience firsthand the tools used to remove and process X-ray films. ASNC indicates that a typical training program lasts four days, and participants generally already have some basic knowledge of CT principles. Sponsoring organizations may provide training sessions at medical facilities, on corporate premises or at local colleges or universities.
