How to Hide a Hamper
Whether for storing food or laundry, hampers help reduce clutter. Ironically, hampers can also cause clutter by taking up floor space and adding an eyesore with overflowing items. A few hiding places can make your hamper almost disappear, yet remain accessible. Does this Spark an idea?

Hiding
-
Hampers can hide in storage closets and basements. Flexible laundry hampers made of fabric can slide under beds with enough clearance from the floor. Lightweight hampers can hang behind closet doors or in wardrobes to free valuable floor space. Compact hampers can hide under sinks and covered tables. Suitcases and trunks can also provide a temporary home.
Adapting
-
A custom hamper could fit within the dimensions of a cabinet in a laundry room. If you're crafty you can make a hamper out of an old zippered jacket by sewing the armholes and bottom shut and then you can hang it like a regular jacket in a closet.

Recycling
-
Hampers can look like a piece of displayed furniture while hiding clutter. Hamper styles include wicker or latticed frames. A cube-shaped hamper could act as an end table topped with an attractive linen cover for the bathroom or bedroom. Sturdy, well-balanced hampers could even double as a low seat tucked under a vanity table or a desk.
