Desert Mountain did not take long to become widely known as a great golf location. Construction started in 1986, and by the following year the first golf course, Renegade, a Jack Nicklaus Signature, was opened. Over the next 17 years, five more Jack Nicklaus Signature courses were built, including numerous clubhouses, fitness centers and villages.
