Water Rower Vs. Air Rower
Rowing machines, also known as indoor rowers or ergometers, can be used by rowers as an alternative to training on water. They can also be added into anyone's workout plan to exercise the back, arms, legs and abdominal muscles.

Why Use a Rowing Machine
-
Rowing, whether it's on the water or on a machine, is a low-impact, total body workout. Rowers often use machines when weather conditions inhibit them from being able to practice on the water, and many gyms have rowing machines available for use. Some rowing machines use water to create resistance, while others use air.
Water Rower Description
-
Water rowers use water to create resistance. Some people prefer to use water rowers because they re-create the fluidity of an oar passing through the water. However, they tend to be more expensive because of the high level of workmanship on the machines.

Air Rower Description
-
Air rowers use fans to create air resistance. While they are noisier than water rowers, they are the preferred type of rowing machine used by collegiate and professional training programs due to the amount of resistance they provide.
