Labels

The Zebra S4M accepts die-cut, tag, black mark and continuous labels. The labels must measure between .75 and 4.5 inches wide and no longer than 39 inches on a noncontinuous roll. Labels must also measure between .003 and .010 inches thick.

Printer

With a printing resolution of 203 to 300 dots per inch (dpi), the Zebra S4M can print a 6-inch label in one second. The printer weighs 27.2 pounds and measures 10.7 inches wide, 18.8 inches deep and 11.6 inches tall.

Ribbon

This label printer requires that all ribbon rolls are wound with the ink-side facing outward. It accommodates a minimum ribbon width of 1.57 inches and 984 feet in length.

Connectivity

External connections include a standard serial port, parallel and USB ports. This model also features an internal 10/100 Ethernet and IEEE wireless networking connection.

Operating Conditions

To function properly, the Zebra S4M label printer requires an environment where temperatures range between 40 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity levels remain between 20 and 85 percent. When placing the label printer in storage, choose a location where temperatures range between negative 40 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit with humidity levels between 5 and 85 percent.
