The Nikon IF-ED is a line of high-performance lenses in zoom or fixed focal-length models. Most IF-ED lenses work with digital and film SLR cameras with FX and DX sensors, but the compatibility does varies, so check your users manual.

Internal focusing, or IF, keeps pictures in focus. The ED refers to the five extra-low dispersion elements the lens uses to provide quality images even in low lighting.
