Family Assistance Claims
Family Assistance is the office developed by the Australian government to provide a single clearinghouse for a variety of family services. The Family Assistance Office is a partnership among Medicare of Australia, the Department of Families, Housing, Community Service and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), and the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and other agencies helping families.

Services
-
Through the Family Assistance Office, Australian families can file claims for Family Tax Benefits. They can also apply for the child-care benefit and the child-care tax rebate, if they have children under 18. Other claims processed in the office include the Baby Bonus and the Maternity Immunisation Allowance.
Online Applications
-
For the fastest and easiest claim process, use the online applications. There are forms that can be filled out and submitted entirely online, or forms to download and submit in paper through the mail or in person at any Family Assistance Office. Online resources also include the required booklets that must be read prior to filing a claim.

Benefits
-
The Family Assistance Office is the quickest way to file claims for Medicare, medical and other benefits for Australian families. Since the services are consolidated in one place, families can go to one office or one website to get all the information and help they need.
