Security consultancy training involves instruction in the primary, secondary and tertiary methods of protecting personal, residential and commercial interests. This includes areas such as risk assessment, hazard identification and home and family safety.

    • Security consultant training encompasses numerous areas of protective concerns, such as business security, residential security and liability assessment. Residential applications include devising security plans for families and their homes, self-defense training and how to identify suspicious behavior. Security consultants also receive training in how to perform vulnerability assessments of commercial properties, such as casinos, apartment complexes and retail outlets.

    • Program length depends on the program's comprehensiveness. For example, some security consultancy courses are taught in half-day, full-day and two-day sessions.
