Steam washing machines typically offer three options. You can wash your clothes using the traditional cycle, you can use a combination of steam and water, or you can just use steam. Steam and water cleans better than water alone, and steam can be used alone for refreshing clothes that are supposed to be dry cleaned.

Drawbacks of Steam Washers

The cycles on these machines can take longer than those on traditional machines. And they are often not as energy efficient since they need to heat water to a higher temperature than regular machines to create the steam. However, the reduced energy efficiency is offset by the fact that these machines use less water.
