Scooters provide higher fuel economy than most vehicles or motorcycles.

Yamaha has several scooters in its lineup. The models range from the TMAX, which offers better speed with lower fuel efficiency to the Vino Classic, which has European styling and higher fuel efficiency.

  1. Engine Capability

    • The TMAX, the top end of Yamaha's lineup, has a fuel-injected, 459 cubic centimeter (cc) parallel, twin-engine. Built with sporty styling, the Zuma has a 49cc, two-stroke engine and automatic transmission. The Zuma 125 has a strong, steel frame, 125 cc, four-stroke engine. The C3 has a three-valve, four-stroke engine, while the Vino Classic has a 49cc, four-stroke engine and automatic transmission.

    Frame Weight And Quality

    • The Yamaha lineup has a range of frames range from lightweight aluminum, which allows for quick acceleration and speed maintenance, to strong, steel frames, which provides durability on rougher surfaces.

    Fuel Efficiency

    • The Yamaha gets close to 47 miles per gallon (mpg) in its most powerful model and up to 123 mpg in its most fuel efficient models.
