The MGM Grand has four outdoor swimming pools and a lazy river. The complex is situated on almost seven acres and surrounded by tropical, manicured landscaping. The pools are named the Producer's Pool, Director's Pool, Talent Pool and the Academy Pool. The river is named the Backlot Lazy River and is 8,000 feet. All pools are heated to a temperature ranging from 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Three whirlpools are situated in the MGM Grand Pool complex.
The Cabana Grill restaurant serves pool-side meals and drinks, and every pool has its own bar that serves light snacks and beverages.
The hotel provides towel service and beach accessories, such as rafts and tubes available for rent. The pool-side cabanas rentals come with private patios, mini-refrigerators and televisions.

Hours

As of October, 2010, the pool complex is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Backlot Lazy River is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. These hours are subject to change depending on the weather.
