Ranger R82 Bass Boat Information

Ranger Boats produced the Sport R82 in 1997 and 1998, designing it to be a full-featured, high-performance bass boat that wouldn't break the bank. It is nearly identical to the R80, but the R82 has a double console.

  • The R82 came with Teleflex Sea Star Pro steering, a Lowrance sonar, twin aerated livewells, two oversized rod lockers, carpeted deck and storage lids, a 37-gallon fuel tank, 1,000-gallon-per-hour bilge pump and many more features. The boat came with four color options.

Size and Capacity

  • The R82 measured 17 feet, 10 inches and 88 inches wide at the beam. The boat weighs approximately 1,375 lbs. Human capacity is five persons or 685 lbs. Total weight capacity is 1,250 lbs., including passengers, motor and gear.

  • Buyers could chose from Evinrude, Johnson, Force, Mariner, Mercury or Yamaha motors from 120 to 175 horsepower. The motor was fitted with a stainless steel propeller. The boat also included a bow-mounted MotorGuide 756 trolling motor.

  • The R82 came with a matching RangerTrail trailer with built-in brakes.
