Prepare the Surface

Make sure you clean the windshield before applying the polishing compound. Run masking tape on either side of the wiper scratch on the inside of the glass to make a guide. Tape off painted areas near the scratched section.

Apply the Compound

Make sure to follow the directions for mixing the polishing compound. Apply the compound in an even coat over the scratch. Use a felt polishing pad attached to a drill to buff the scratch.

Wipe Area Clean

Use a wet sponge to remove the polishing compound from the glass. Follow up with a glass cleaner.
