Why Netflix Won't Work on an LCD

Netflix is a service that allows you to stream videos online to your computer, video game console and television. However, without the proper connection, service and device, you will not be able to view Netflix on your LCD television.

  • Not every type of Netflix service allows you to stream movies and TV shows through your online service. Make sure you purchase a contract that allows online streaming. If you watch many movies, choose an unlimited plan because some plans only allow you a designated amount of streamed programs per month.

  • To watch Netflix through your TV, you may need a computer or video game console to play the videos unless you have a television with Internet connectivity. You can use a laptop or computer with a VGA cord or an Xbox, Wii or Playstation 3. If you cannot view the videos, make sure you have the proper device and cord for a computer. With Wii or Playstation 3 you are not able to access Netflix without an additional disc. You can request this free disc from Netflix.

  • Check your Internet connection if you are having problems watching Netflix through your LCD television. If your modem or router is not working, you will not be able to connect to the Internet and view Netflix streaming movies.
