How Long Does the Aveda Institute Cosmetology Program Last?

The Aveda Institute offers its cosmetology program at numerous locations in the United States, Canada and Australia. The exclusive curriculum for this training program focuses on the development of technical skills. Job-placement assistance is available upon graduation.

  • With over 50 Aveda locations in the United States, students are able to choose the geographic location that appeals to them. Locations are available in all major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas. Schools are also available in smaller markets such as Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Seattle and Philadelphia.

Length of Program

  • The program length varies by location. The best way to find out the length of the program and the weekly schedule is to contact the location you are interested in attending. The average length of the program is 1,500 hours. The course is available full time and/or part time, depending on location.

Accreditation

  • All Aveda schools are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. Upon completion of the program, students will be ready to take the exam to become licensed in their state.
