Who Ushers the Mother of the Groom Into the Pew?
Amid the hundreds of details that go into a wedding, one of the main focuses should be on making important people in the bride and groom's lives feel special. One of the most special people is the mother of the groom. Care should be taken to ensure she is seated in the correct manner.

Timing
-
After all of the other guests have been seated by the ushers, the grandmothers are seated. Then the groom's mother is ushered to her seat followed by her husband. The mother of the bride is the final person to be seated.
Location
-
Typically the bride's guests are seated on the left and the groom's family and friends are seated on the right-hand side of the church. The mother of the groom should be seated in the first pew on the right-hand side of the church. Her husband should be seated next to her unless they are divorced, in which case, he would be seated several pews back behind his former in-laws.

Usher Options
-
The lead usher is the traditional person to usher the mother of the groom to her pew. Another option is to have a son, who is also an usher, be the one who shows her to her seat. Finally, the groom himself can escort his mother to her seat for a sweet touch.
