Adrenal Radiology
Adrenal radiology is the science of identifying abnormalities, both benign and malignant, in the adrenal glands. The adrenal glands are responsible for regulating hormone levels, sweat secretion, blood pressure and heart rate.

Targeted Areas
-
Adrenal radiology targets components of the adrenal system. The adrenal system is comprised of the adrenal glands, which are situated on top the kidneys and are comprised of the adrenal cortex and the adrenal medulla.
Identifying Devices
-
In adrenal radiologic technology, devices like CT, MR imaging and adrenal scintigraphy are able to identify masses and lesions and additionally distinguish the difference between benign lesions and malignant tumors.
-
Abnormalities
-
Adrenal radiologic technology identify lesions, masses, tumors and cysts that are common in adrenal abnormalities. Adrenal abnormalities include adrenal cortex carcinoma, pheochromocytoma, metastatic disease, and adrenal adenoma.
