Tutorial for an Autoresponder

Automated email responses can be configured using autoreponders.

Autoresponders are computer programs that automate email replies. They are especially valuable for responding to prospective customers on email addresses that are not monitored. Most domain email panels offer an autoresponder email feature that allows users to configure and customize the autoresponder.

  1. Interface

    • Log in to your domain and select mail and then autoresponders. This will generally take you to an interface that allows you to add an autoresponder.

    Adding Files

    • You should have designed and created your autorespond message outside the interface. Using the "Attach Files" button, upload the file or files. The files will be displayed when they are added to the repository. If you haven't created your own autorespond message, many domain mail interfaces have a default autorespond that says something generic, such as "We have received your message. Thank you."

    Autorespond Parameters

    • You can define how the autorespond feature will work. For example, define autoresponses based on the text that appears on the subject line or the body text. Alternatively, you can have the same autoresponse for all incoming mail. Set whether the autoresponse will be in plain text or HTML.

Define the autorespond frequency that allows you to set how many times the autoresponse is sent to unique addresses.

You can create as many autoresponses as your system permits by defining the reply mechanism and other parameters.
